If you ask my experience, 5-6 days are not enough to explore the valley.

Though this is an old post, it is still relevant. You are covering 230kms of distance on day 2 and just around 90 km distance on day 3. This is strange.

Lahaul & Spiti are two valleys of Lahaul & Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. Lahaul & Spiti have different weather and climatic conditions so the best time to visit places in the two valleys varies substantially.

There are still certain districts or areas(like Spiti valley) where travel/tourism activities are still prohibited. I do agree that travelling still is unsafe.
