    Kolkata to Darjeeling by Car

At present the highway is not in very good shape due to incessant rains of this year and consequent floods. But you may expect more or less average roads till Maldah, if you follow the Bardhaman-Kuli-Moregram route. After that the roads should be in bad shape for Raiganj.

    Puri Vs Digha

I guess that the Mandarmoni beach (very close to Digha) is better than Digha in all respect. Even the hotels there offer a better and cleaner view of the sea.

How to go to Sunderbans and Gangasagar from Kolkata?

I think briannagodess has already provided an excellent and a very accurate reply. But I guess there is also an other option to visit Sundarban. It is to visit Jharkhali, which is the closest motorable place to Sundarban. I have heard that one decent hotel has come up there in recent times.

Where Does The Dalai Lama Live In India?

No, he left Tibet when it was invaded by the Chinese and ever since he is staying at India. You must be aware that His Holiness Dalai Lama received the noble price for his contribution towards non-violence and world peace.

Where to find the best street food in Kolkata?

Though I stay in Calcutta on a permanent basis, had no idea that the vendors in Decker's lane were WHO certified. Thanks for letting me know the same. I may only say that some twenty years ago, my office was located nearby and I was a delightful customer. Thanks for reviving those fond memories.
