We did not go Spiti as there was a shortage of time, but for next time round I do have a few queries. Is Spiti the place where there is an awkward road and it is known to be one of the dangerous roads in India? This is something which now putting me off from going there in the future.

I would have said the best beaches in India are in Goa, but just read the latest thread by Debapriya Deb about the off beat beaches in South India, my mind has changed about Goa having the best beaches and I think by far the South of India has the best beaches, where I think very few people...

They don't even check for ID when going to Jammu, why do they check ID when going Spiti?

Trekking in Delhi, I don't think so. The only nearest place I can think of is Bhangarh it is not much of a trekking place but a place where you can go up the hills and explore the place it would take a good two hours to do so.

Both places are worth visiting, from a drivers point of view Mussoorie is better as the road is good, otherwise both destination have good weather and sight seeing places. If you want you can visit both destinations as it has been done before by travellers, Nainital is only 7 hours away from...

We and another family will be going to Shimla, and have thought about going to Spiti, but we dont know whether it is worth going or not. Is there anything special in Spiti is it worth visiting at all? I need some honest reviews as I dont want to be wasting any holiday time that we have.
