I haven't visited much of South India, only the city of Chennai many years ago, so I can not really suggest to you the best place to visit but I can suggest to you that do not visit South India from the months of April till October, as its boiling hot! That's unless if you like the really hot...
@Kate Collins its considered casual wear in foreign countries, but in India, it's only considered casual wear in large cities. It will take time for small towns/cities to get used to girls wearing short dresses/shorts etc and people not getting offended or out of the ordinary.
Like myself, I am sure there are many people who want to go on a holiday after this COVID-19 epidemic ends.
However easy it may sound to book your holidays and flights etc, I don't think it is.
Life will not be back to total norms for many months, but we will still have to carry on. One thing...
