Is there a particular cruise line that is better than others when it comes to a cruise around India? I've never been on a cruise, and am not familiar with any.
I went on a cruise line in India for the time that I traveled there. I had quite a good experience with them. Friendly and helpful staff and pretty good food. The boat also included nice entertainment and the views were quite breath-taking. The cruise line I went with was called Princess Cruises. Good luck and cheers!
Thanks for the tip, TravelCheap3! I have, actually, heard of Princess Cruises, but I wasn't aware that they also had a tour that went around India.
I have used Princess Cruises before (not around India, though, sadly!) but I can vouch for them as a company. I found their prices were very reasonable compared to some other cruise companies, and their service was impeccable! Friendly staff, lots to do on board - I would definitely recommend them if you had the chance to use them for an Indian based cruise!
There isn't one dominant cruise line in India like some other parts of the world. Here's a breakdown of some popular options for cruises in India: International Cruise Lines: Large international cruise lines like Celebrity Cruises, Costa Cruises, and Royal Caribbean occasionally offer cruises to India as part of longer itineraries exploring Asia. These cruises typically cater to a more international crowd and offer a wider range of amenities and activities onboard, but they may not spend as much time in Indian ports or offer experiences tailored to the Indian culture. Cordelia Cruises: The first Indian cruise line, Cordelia offers luxurious cruises along the west coast of India, departing from Mumbai, Goa, Kochi, and Lakshadweep. Their cruises are designed for the Indian market, with a focus on Indian cuisine, entertainment, and hospitality. Here are some factors to consider when choosing a cruise line in India: Itinerary: Consider what places you want to visit in India and choose a cruise line that offers itineraries that include those destinations. Budget: International cruise lines tend to be more expensive than domestic cruise lines. Travel Style: Do you prefer a luxurious experience with all the trimmings, or are you looking for a more casual and culturally immersive experience? Length of Cruise: Cruises in India range from short day cruises to multi-day adventures. Choose a cruise length that fits your schedule and interests. Ultimately, the best cruise line for you will depend on your individual preferences and priorities. I hope this helps narrow your search!
