Is it possible to tour a brewery while in India? My husband is a beer connoisseur and he likes to tour breweries when we travel. I'm not as into it as he is, but I do find it interesting.

There are several breweries in India. But the one that stands out is Doolally - the first microbrewery in India. It was opened in Pune in the year 2009 and it has now spreads its tentacles in Bangalore, Gurgaon and Mumbai. Their Pune address is: NIBM Road, Mohamadwadi, Corinthians club, Nyati County, Pune University, Pune. Their Bombay (Mumbai) address is Shop No. 5 & 6, Geleki, ONGC colony, Bandra Reclamation, Bandra West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400050

Yes, it is possible to tour breweries in India, and it can be a great experience for beer enthusiasts. India has a growing craft beer scene, and many cities have breweries that offer tours to visitors. Here are a few cities in India where you might find opportunities to tour breweries:

    1. Bangalore: Known as the "Silicon Valley of India," Bangalore has a vibrant craft beer culture. There are several microbreweries and brewpubs where you can take tours, learn about the brewing process, and, of course, sample a variety of craft beers.

    2. Pune: This city is also home to a number of microbreweries that often provide tours and tastings. Pune's beer culture has been expanding, and you might find interesting options to explore.

    3. Mumbai: As a major metropolitan city, Mumbai has seen a surge in the popularity of craft beers. Check out some of the city's microbreweries for tours and tastings.

    4. Delhi: The capital city has its share of craft breweries. Some of them may offer tours, providing insights into the brewing process and the unique characteristics of their beers.
When planning your visit, it's a good idea to check with the specific breweries in the city you're visiting to inquire about tours and tastings. Brewery tours often include a walk through the brewing facilities, an explanation of the brewing process, and, of course, the chance to sample different brews.

Keep in mind that the craft beer scene in India is evolving, and the availability of brewery tours may vary. Always check the latest information and reviews to ensure a delightful experience for both you and your husband. Cheers to a great brewery tour in India!
