I am from Mumbai and would be getting a bus to Pune. I would like to know from which location in Mumbai I would get the bus from and what the expected cost for a Volvo bus would be?

I don't need an expensive ticket for the bus journey. The basic Volvo service is fine.

I would also like to know can I get the ticket but just arriving at the bus or do I need to pre-book?

On average, expect to pay around Rs. 300 to Rs. 400 for simple Volvo bus from Mumbai to Pune. There are different boarding stations in Mumbai though, you would see them in the tables above. There's a station in Borivali East, Borivali West, Andheri East and many more. Usually though, the buses drop off passengers in either Wakad or Pune Station as soon as it arrives in Pune. You can choose to book a ticket in advance and this is usually more recommended. This way, you are assured a seat at a set schedule. But you can also book in person once you arrive in the station but do keep in mind that you might not always get a seat this way, especially during peak or rush hours.

    I hope this helps you.:)
