India is a cricket loving nation and a major force in world cricket. For outsiders it's difficult to understand the cricket culture inside the country. Does anyone here know the best regions for cricket in India and some of the rivalries that exist domestically?

Well, to be honest, you can not say that there is one or a couple of particular regions for cricket, as you will find that cricket is everywhere in India. You are bound to find the best training centers in each state. Although going to bigger and more advanced cities will give you better facilities for the sport.

The domestic rivalries, well it is not something which really exists I think, and the IPL (Indian Premier League) only comes once a year.

Cricket for some is like a religion in India, its like how football is loved in European countries. Even the cricket players are loved to the core by their fans, whenever there is a major Indian cricket match going on you will find people glued to their TVs or phones to keep an eye on the score or simply watching the match.

Believe it or not, cricket is not the national sport of India, and yets its loved that much.
