Delhi to Kausani Route

I am planning a Delhi to Kausani trip during August and need some help in choosing the best route and I don't want a route where the road is not good, sometimes suggestions are given for the quickest route but the road conditions are very bad.
Are there any good places to stop and have lunch on the way? Please give suggestions.

Here is the route from Delhi to Kausani, which is the best route as the road is better and the surroundings are good to see by the passengers in the car.

Delhi - Ghaziabad - Hapur (via Hapur bypass) - Gadmukteshwar - Gajroula - Moradabad - Soar - Bazpur- Kaladhungi - Kathgodam- Jeolikote - Bhowali - Khairna Bridge - Ranikhet - Majkhali - Goluchinna - Someshwar - Kausani.

delhi - ghaziabad - hapur (via Hapur bypass) - moradabad - pipalsana - thakurdwara - kashipur - ramnagar - amdanda - dhangadi - kumaria -bhatrojkhan - ranikhet - majkhali - goluchinna - someshwar - kausani

Which out of the two is the better route for Kausani?
