Desserts?

    I must say that I am not familiar with any Indian desserts. Are desserts not very popular in India? Or is it just that I've never encountered any?

    There was a thread a while back (I think in November) about Indian desserts. I'll see if I can find it for you. One of the ones that sounded yummy to me was called Gulab Jamun, but when I go to my local Indian restaurant I usually just finish my meal with a lassi and that's sweet enough for me!

    Amelia, can you explain what a lassi is? Also Gulab Jamun? I have never heard of these, and I am also quite interested in learning about Indian desserts.
