The most annoying and frustrating part of going to and from the airport is getting the luggage, especially when it's a busy airport like Delhi Airport. Well, you have to worry no more, as Delhi Airport has launched a doorstep baggage transfer facility. The service was actually launched on 14th February 2020 but has not been put into action as of yet due to COVID - 19. To avail, this service passengers need to book their baggage through the Carter X website or the app, or the counters at Delhi Airport. Your baggage then gets collected according to the date of service, pick up location, flight details, etc you give. The same procedure is done for arrivals which will soon be launched and will be available for drop off within Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and even up to Punjab and Rajasthan. Each baggage is secured in a tamper-resistant sealable bag and labeled clearly, along with a bar code. When you arrive at the airport you can collect your baggage at the Delhi forecourt before you check-in. Each baggage is secured. You can also track your baggage when it gets collected for the safe assurance that it doesn't get lost in transit. The cost of the service will be a minimum of Rs299, but the final charges will depend on the location of your home and the number of bags you have.
The booking is made from the Carter X site only. The New Delhi Airport website will soon have an option for the baggage pick up and drop off service soon.
