Hello, I am off to India for 2 weeks in the end of January and it is my first visit to Indian subcontinent. I was just wondering if somebody can suggest me what kind of expenses I possibly have to incur. I have already booked hotels according to my itinerary and I am just looking for other general expenses for food and transportation. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks, Jared
It really depends what you want to have and where. If you are ok with what the locals eat then even Rs500 per day would cover all three meals but if you want to go to a decent restaurant and have a meal there you would be looking at a lot more. Transportation again depends how you travel. Public transport is very cheap and even taxis are cheaper then most countries but obviously cost more then trains or buses.
