I am currently staying in Bangalore and need to go to Chennai. If I were in my home town in Delhi, it would have been a matter of getting a flight there, as there would not be any other option as the distance is a lot.

If I consider taking a train from Bangalore to Chennai, how long would this journey take?

I am not too fussed on how I travel. I would just like to know what options I have to go to Chennai.

    3. By Taxi - The distance between Bangalore and Chennai is about 346 kilometres. You can hire a car or a taxi to take you to Chennai as well. It can take around 6 hours of driving to cover this distance. Fare would be around Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 7,000 for a one-way trip. It's quite expensive though and not recommended.

There you go, I hope this helps you!:)

    P.S.

I've included the journey durations for each transportation option type already. Good luck!
