I am currently staying in Bangalore and need to go to Chennai. If I were in my home town in Delhi, it would have been a matter of getting a flight there, as there would not be any other option as the distance is a lot.

If I consider taking a train from Bangalore to Chennai, how long would this journey take?

I am not too fussed on how I travel. I would just like to know what options I have to go to Chennai.

    3. By Taxi - The distance between Bangalore and Chennai is about 346 kilometres. You can hire a car or a taxi to take you to Chennai as well. It can take around 6 hours of driving to cover this distance. Fare would be around Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 7,000 for a one-way trip. It's quite expensive though and not recommended.

All other flights are priced higher than these ones. So if time is an issue, you can board one of these flights as they prove to be less costly than riding a taxi all the way from Bangalore to Chennai. You'd also reach Chennai in about an hour or more by taking an airplane ride.

There you go, I hope this helps you!:)

    P.S.

I've included the journey durations for each transportation option type already. Good luck!
