I will be in Mumbai for around seven days with my family. I have heard about the Royal Garden Resort in Mumbai and am not sure where exactly in Mumbai this is.

Please give details on how to reach Royal Garden Resort, mentioning details like the nearest train station, any buses which go towards to resort, etc.

    Hi there!

The Royal Garden Resort has everything you need to take a step back from the chaotic city life. They have a water park with wave pool, slides and rain dance. They also have a mini amusement park with dry rides that the children would enjoy like a toy train and merry go round. This is a great one day getaway as it's located very near to the city centre. The refreshing scenery, surrounded by lush greenery all around, is such a step away from the usual buildings and cars that we see.

They also have rooms that guests can rent out. A stay in their Deluxe Room, Super Deluxe Room or Suite can certainly invigorate your spirits. All rooms come with cable television, attached bathroom and desk with chair. Their restaurant serves only vegetarian dishes of different cuisines like Indian, Chinese and Continental.

They also have rates for just a one day package without a room:
    • One Day Picnic for Adult at Rs. 700
    • One Day Picnic for Children (3 to 10 years old) at Rs. 600
Here is how you can reach the Royal Garden Resort:

    1. By Train - The nearest railway station is the Borivali Railway Station which is about 450 metres away from the resort. Since the Borivali Railway Station is a station on the Western Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway Network, there are no direct trains to reach it from Pune. You can just alight at the Dadar Railway Station and from there, ride another train from the Western Line that would reach Borivali. From Borivali, you can just walk the remaining distance to reach the resort. So your route would be:
    • Pune > Train to Dadar Railway Station > Train to Borivali Railway Station > Walk to Resort.
Here are some trains from Pune Junction to Dadar Railway Station:
    • Kanyakumari Mumbai Express Train No. 16382 - This departs daily from Pune at 00:50 and arrives in Dadar at 4:09.
    • Hussainsagar Express Train No. 12702 - This departs daily from Pune at 1:15 and arrives in Dadar at 4:27.
    • Chennai Express Train No. 12164 - This departs daily from Pune at 2:35 and arrives in Dadar at 6:00.
    • Siddheshwar Express Train No. 12116 - This departs daily from Pune at 3:10 and arrives in Dadar at 6:22.
    • Kolhapur Mumbai CST Mahalaxmi Express Train No. 17412 - This departs daily from Pune at 3:35 and arrives in Dadar at 6:57.
    • Latur Mumbai Express Train No. 22108 - This departs daily from Pune at 4:15 and arrives in Dadar at 7:30.
    • Sinhagad Express Train No. 11010 - This departs daily from Pune at 6:05 and arrives in Dadar at 9:33.
    • Deccan Queen Train No. 12124 - This departs daily from Pune at 7:15 and arrives in Dadar at 10:03.
Once you reach the Dadar Railway Station, cross the bridge and go to the Western Line. Here are some trains passing through this route:
    • BVI 90131 - Departs from Dadar at 7:06 am and arrives in Borivali at 7:50 am.
    • BVI 90135 - Departs from Dadar at 7:10 am and arrives in Borivali at 7:54 am.
    • VR 90137 - Departs from Dadar at 7:12 am and arrives in Borivali at 7:39 am.
    • BVI 90143 - Departs from Dadar at 7:16 am and arrives in Borivali at 8:00 am.
There are regular trains for this route from 5:00 am up to 1:00 am so you won't need to worry. Then, from Borivali Railway Station, you can just walk to reach the resort.

    2. By Bus - There are private buses that will drop you off directly at Borivali. Here are some private bus operators from Pune to Mumbai Borivali:

Fare is at Rs. 199 to Rs. 470 per passenger. These buses drop off passengers at Borivali, so you need to ride an auto or taxi to reach the resort, since it is about 3 kilometres away.
    • Neeta Tours and Travels (Volvo AC Buses) - They have several buses plying this route. Bus timing are 5:00 am, 6:00 am, 7:00 am, 8:00 am, 8:15 am, 9:00 am, 9:15 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 11:15 am, 12:00 pm, 12:15 am, 1:00 pm, 1:15 pm, 2:00 pm, 2:15 pm, 3:00 pm, 3:15 pm, 4:00 pm, 4:15 pm, 5:15 pm, 6:00 pm, 6:15 pm, 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:00 pm, 9:30 pm, 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm. Fare is at Rs. 423 per passenger. These buses drop off passengers at Borivali West, which is about 2.5 kilometres away from the resort. You can just ride a taxi or an auto to reach the resort from here.
There you go, I hope this helps you.:)
