Tada Falls is also known as Ubbalamudugu Falls and it is in the district of Chittoor which is on the border of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Tada Falls is around 90km away from Chennai where many people travel from. Tada falls is not only famous for its waterfall but also trekking. The total trekking distance is 10km which can be covered in around 2 hours which is neither too difficult or easy, but there are some paths which are full of rocks.

When traveling from Chennai to Tada Falls there are three means of transport which are by car, train or bus.

How to reach Tada Falls from Chenai by car
When traveling by car you need to go on the NH-5, which would allow you to reach the town of Tada, and this is 60km away from Chennai.
You will have to go past a check point after which there will be a bridge, from the bridge a left turn has to be made which will lead you to Varadaiahpalem. After this there are no signs for Tada Falls and you will have to ask locals for the direction, although the road goes straight towards Tada Falls and is only another 11km, it is still a good idea to check with the locals to make sure you are going in the right direction.
Tada Falls is known to the locals as Ubbalamudugu Falls.

How to reach Tada Falls from Chenai by bus
To reach Tada Falls by bus from Chennai you need to get to the Koyembedu bus stand. Bus number 114 will take you up to Varadaiahpalem which is the last town before the Tada fall. From here on you need to take an auto to Tada Falls which would cost between Rs200 - Rs350, which would depend on how well you can bargain.

How to reach Tada Falls from Chenai by train
If you wish to travel by train then you need to get the train which goes towards Sullurpeta which also goes past Tada railway station. A train on this route leaves every two hours, and it is a good idea to leave early from Chennai so you can get a train back on time if you wish to make it a one day trip.

The average cost for travelling by the three means of transport are as follows:
    Train - Rs2600 - Rs3250
    Car - Rs550 - Rs750
    Taxi - Rs1600 - Rs1900
    Bus - Rs70

Please can you tell me where the Tada Falls trek leads to after the 10km?

Is this a suitable trek for young kids as well?
