Is this the only place recommended for skewered kebabs or do you suggest any other places as well? Seeing that Mumbai is such a large city, it would be a mission going to this one place for kebabs, instead, it would be good to get recommendations for other places across Mumbai too.

It will be available in restaurants but considering that it is a street food nothing like eating it at places I have recommended. You can see it being done unlike in restaurants where the meat is removed from the skewers and then served.
True. Kebabs are considered street-food and the best places to get them is in the streets where they are prepared by a skilled cook. There's this guy who prepares them amazingly! He adds the right amount of pepper and sprinkles lemon sap that often leaves me bankrupt when I pass by his barbecue-site because I never feel like leaving/ had enough.
It is that smoky aroma that sets it all. Just watching them cook that which will be pulled out of those skewers and served give one the feeling of how unadulterated the stuff is. As you have said there are specialists who do a great job of it.
