Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh has this as one of the most attractive sights for tourists. These marble rock formations alongside the Narmada River makes the boat ride memorable.

The ride on this river which is supposed to be 600 feet deep is infested with crocodiles. And this we were told by the boatman as we were almost in the middle of the river. But that did not deter us as we were engrossed looking at these formations Some formation resembled faces of great celebrities such as Mahatma Gandhi

As you can see from the image there is no shore separating the river from these rocks and so there is no hope for tourists to climb those rocks.

These soft rocks are used to make artificial jewellery and statues.

This is such an amazing place, didn't actually think that this would be in India.

The crocodile information was given a bit late to you....I think it is something which should be mentioned before you take the boat ride because it is quite dangerous and tourists should be warned of such a thing.

Can you give some information on how long the boat ride lasts and what the boat ride cost is?
