The Metropolitan Hotel New Delhi

    I have seen a suitable hotel in New Delhi The Metropolitan Hotel and I would like to get some more information about it.

    I would like to know what star hotel it is is, although it does seem like a 5 star I need some confirmation.

    As my wife will be accompanying me I would like to know what facilities the hotel has such as a spa, gym etc.

The Jantar Mantar is also just under four kilometres away from the property. Aside from the previously mentioned metro station, the Shivaji Stadium Metro Station is another option, which is just nine minutes of walking away from the hotel. The overall vibe of The Metropolitan Hotel is imposing but welcoming, which is how any luxury property should make their guests feel.

    The property has a number of rooms and suites that you can choose from. For the rooms, they are divided into the Deluxe Rooms and Club Rooms. For the suites, they're divided into the Executive Suites and Metropolitan Suites. Of course, the latter two are more spacious and include separate areas for entertainment and for sleeping. In design though, all rooms and suites have the same interiors. As mentioned above, neutral hues dominate in the rooms and suites. There is carpeted flooring, huge windows with draped curtains and eccentric light bulbs in a cage-like setup. Rooms and suites are not spared from the conveniences of modernity, sockets are plenty, plus you can control lighting strength through a panel, so-called mood lighting. To balance such modern features, there are traditional wallpapers and also framed art pieces on the wall.

    These are the accommodation options with published tariff rates on The Metropolitan Hotel website. First is the Deluxe Room, which is by far, the most affordable option. For a couple or a lone traveller, this type of room would be perfect enough. It has a small sofa slash lounge area where you can relax or drink your cup of tea from. There's a long marble laid table just beneath the television where you can do some of your works in, there's an ergonomic chair to accompany it. The attached bathroom is glass-panelled, so you can see the silhouette inside it. Inside, there's a separate shower area with divider as well.

    Second is the Club Room, which has the same features above. It is just correctly sized for a lone traveller or a couple. It has the same sofa slash lounge, marble laid table, ergonomic chair and glass-panelled bathroom. The difference is that when you book this room, you are granted access to the Club Lounge. This lounge has various seating areas and tables, perfect for catching up on some work or even the latest television series you have missed. You are also entitled to unlimited premium drinks when in here. Additionally, you can also use the on-site meeting hall for two hours, complimentary to guests who book for this room.

    The third is the Executive Suite, which is the only suite option with published tariff on the website. The suite is spacious, with a separate living room area where you can lounge and watch television. This area also has a work desk with an ergonomic chair where you can do your work from. The bathroom is also different in that it has a bathtub and shower area. The bedroom has a sofa too and a television as well. With the rate mentioned above, you are granted access to the Club Lounge and two hours usage of a meeting hall as well. Aside from that, this rate also includes complimentary access to WiFi, which is limited to two devices per room.

    With the rooms and suites, you have the option of either a pool-facing one or a city-facing one. Amenities like a direct dial phone, mini bar, tea/coffee maker, safety deposit box and sockets are all available in rooms or suites. Complimentary items such as two bottles of water per day, bath essentials and daily newspaper would also be given to staying guests. The television is fitted with satellite too, so both local and international channels can be enjoyed by guests. Internet, though widely available in the hotel including in rooms, is only complimentary for those who reserve or stay in suites.     These are the restaurants within the hotel premises. First we have Sakura, which as the name suggests, is a Japanese cuisine restaurant. Staying true to the Japanese philosophy, the ambience of the restaurant is minimalistic. There are wooden chairs and couches that are accentuated by the red hues. The flooring is wooden and the decors are very simple. The menu is extensive, including appetisers, salads, okonomiyakis, sushis, sashimis, noodles, rice dishes and more. Best-seller dishes here are their Ebiten Okonomiyaki, Natto Maki, Salmon Steak and Zaru Soba/Udon. During Sundays, they have a buffet brunch that foodies can certainly enjoy.

    The second restaurant is Zing, which is their international cuisine restaurant. In contrast to the former, this restaurant has a fresh and trendy ambience. Aside from Asian, Continental and Italian cuisines, the restaurant also serves some Indian dishes. It is mostly known for its extensive buffet breakfast spreads. You can even make your pizza or pasta by combining the toppings or sauce options that you best like. The menu also has a few dessert items to satisfy your sweet tooth. Must-try dishes here are Zing Fish 'N Chips, Hakka Noodles and The Zing Club.

    The third restaurant is also the on-site bar named as Chutney, Bar + Tandoor. The ambience is very laid-back but well-designed, especially with the fabric-patterned wall with various lightings.     On the lobby level is the NeoVeda Spa, an amalgamation of ancient Ayurvedic practices and modern treatments.
