Hello, I'm planning on getting to Yuksom next week. I've heard that this is a fine spot for day trips. Is that correct? Could anyone name some recommended destinations for these day trips? Thanks! Yoram Galili.
What kind of day trips? Are you into trekking by any chance because there are lots of trekking trails out there. Yuksom otherwise is a tiny village in the middle of no where and is a beautiful place.
There are lots of monastries around Yuksom like Dubdi Monastery which is about an hours walk from Yuksom and not very tiring. Kartok Monastery is another good one and Ngadak Chorling Monastery. Mallu Monastery is another monastery that you could go to. Apart from monasteries, there are loads of trekking options or you could just go for long walks if you do not like multi-day treks. You can also go and spend some time at Kartok Lake if thats your thing.
