    Dream Hotel Or Dream Rental?

You don't say how long you will be in that one area. If you are staying for more than two weeks, a rental would make sense. Remember that if you rent, and they don't have a cleaning service, you will be cleaning house during your vacation.

    Women Clothing

When I travel, regardless of the country, I like to wear loose fitting tops that keep you cool. That way you don't burn in the sun and feel miserable for the rest of your vacation. This also helps if you're in a place where the people don't usually dress in tank tops and shorts and where you...

    Women Only Buses

This would be an added bonus if you were traveling with another woman. Doesn't really work when you're traveling with your male partner or husband.

Leave Your "personal Space" Home When You Come To India

Invasion of my personal space will be a difficult challenge. I have a hard time when people stick their faces two inches from mine to talk to me, never mind standing or leaning against me. It will give me a chance to work on this.

    Bicycling In The City

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I will stick to taxis, drivers or walking. Walking in the larger, tourist cities is probably the best thing as the sites are usually within walking distance.

    The Rock Garden In Charndigarh

I looked at some photos from the Rock Gardens and the sculptures of the people are something quite unique looking. To think that the artist created them out of recycled ceramic and other bits is pretty imaginative.

20 Romantic Honeymoon Destinations In South India

I've heard that Coorg is a wonderful place to visit. Thanks for the information above, Debapriya Deb. Even if I'm not going to be honeymooning, the scenery in the photos above make me want to visit those areas.

    Diu, India

Has anyone been to Diu, India? I've read that it has quiet beaches that are not as busy as Goa. There is an old fort, with a lighthouse that you can climb up, as well as a few other sites to visit.

    Shopping For Souvenirs In Pondicherry

I read an article that said that Pondicherry was a great place to shop for souvenirs. They have everything from art to clothing and that it is very popular among tourists. Does anyone know what the prices are like there?

How To Bargain At Flea Markets In India?

I think you can base your price point on what you would pay for something similar at home. If you go in knowing the exchange rate, say 100 Indian Rupee is $1.50 US, then you will have a base to judge whether they are charging you too much.

    Hotel Breakfast Question

If you do the math 499 INR equals $7.30 US dollars, so depending on what the breakfast contains it's not a bad deal. If it's a cold breakfast it may just be fruit or cereal.

    Mountain Climbing

Do you need a lot of climbing experience to go up these mountains? I know you can hire guides but can you also rent climbing gear as well? Mountain climbing is something I'd like to experience at least once in my life. Maybe I could try a small mountain?

    Pashmina Scarves Or Shawls

If I want to buy real pashmina scarves where in India would I go? Also, how would I know the authentic versus the manufactured ones? I love these scarves and have a few fake ones. I want to get one for my cousin when I travel to India.

    Window Shopping In Delhi

I'm a window shopper and enjoy it. Although on a trip I'd want to go in and buy something instead of just looking. I can see that it would annoy the smaller shopkeepers as they want you to come in and buy from them and not just look at the merchandise.

    Traveling With Pets

I can't see how a pet would enjoy traveling for hours in a plane and there aren't a lot of tours that allow pets. You wouldn't be able to take it into any of the temples or museums. In my opinion the pet would be better off and safer at home.
