    Rickshaw Travel

I think I'd rather the one where the man is pedaling, it would be more interesting and easier to see all around. I've seen the auto one and it looks kind of claustrophobic, it's so tiny.

    What Is Jalebi?

I love sugary treats and this sounds like one I'd enjoy eating. I wouldn't have thought a sweet treat would go well with soup but I'd be willing to try it. I will have to check out the menus when I go to try jalebi.

Is It Safe For Girls To Travel On An Overnight Train?

To be safe, maybe you should avoid traveling on trains at night. I'm sure you will be fine but why take the chance? I would probably avoid it myself.

    Rickshaw Travel

Has anyone here taken a rickshaw drive to get from one location to another in the major cities? How safe is it and do you get stuck in the same traffic as other cars and taxis? I'm thinking it is probably the cheapest mode of travel. I heard somewhere that it costs between 75 to 100 rupees if...

    Flight Delays

You're right about the not planning to the letter, Elizabetonth. I have found that there is always something that happens during trips that changes your timetable for doing things. I'm pretty easy going when it comes to my itinerary when traveling.

    Packed Lunch From Hotels?

That's a great question Igor. I've never thought to have the hotel pack a lunch when visiting places. My partner is not big on really spicy food either, so that's something I should put on my list to remember when we visit.

Has Anyone Been To The Andaman Water Sports Complex In Port Blair?

My partner and I love water sports and I read that there is place called Andaman Water Sports Complex in Port Blair. Has anyone been there and tried out the different water sports. Can you tell me what they have other than jet skis and paddle boats?

Is The Curry Used In Food Very Strong Tasting?

I'm excited to try the different foods when I'm in India. I love eating foods from different cultures and seeing how it differs from my own. My question is whether the curry used in Indian dishes is really strong tasting or just a mild taste mixed in with other spices? My partner will eat...

Do Beaches In India Have Lifeguards?

I heard about the drownings and it's really sad. I also heard some of them couldn't swim which makes me wonder why the school allowed them in the water?

    Water Filter

I would go for the bottled water as well. It's probably a lot safer than drinking anything that comes out of the tap. If you come from a different country, your body is not used to what is in the water. There are always warnings about drinking and eating foods that are cleaned with water in...

    Jim Corbett National Park

Nice to know that they care for the animals' well being and comfort. I've never really like the zoo for that reason. I always felt the animals had no natural privacy.

How Much Is Odomos In India?

I think it's cheaper if you buy it in India. Amazon in India has it at under 100 Rs, so I think that translates to $1.25 US. That's pretty cheap for mosquito repellent.

    The Largest Sundial In Jaipur

I'm fascinated by everything astronomical and was reading about Jai Singh who built an astronomical observatory, out of stone, in New Delhi. He also built the largest and most accurate sundial, the Samrat Yantra, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is at least 75 feet tall. Has anyone seen this huge...

    Beggars

The beggars have agents? What kind of thing is this? Are these beggars forced to work for some thief who takes all their money? What do they get in exchange? Maybe I'm naive but I've never heard of something like this.

    Diapers

I laughed when I read this post as I'm picturing someone packing a suitcase full of diapers. I would think diapers are universal and you'd be able to ask the store clerk the kind you need.
