I think you may want the Udhagamandalam Passenger (56143) train. It leaves from Gooty Junction and has a last station of Coimbatore Main Junction. The trip should be about 14 hours and is quite scenic according to most passengers. Some people suggest getting off earlier and going by bus through the mountains, as this is faster, or can be. I do not know about price, but think it should start at Rs 800 for a cheap fare..
