I have read about the use of cable cars in Nepal in the mountainous country side. Are cable cars safe as mode of transport? I have never boarded a cable car since we don't have them in our country. Which places are suitable to travel on cable cars?
Cable cars are safe anywhere. The worst that could happen to you is that the car would lose power, as had recently happened to tourists in France. But, other than that cable cars are quite safe since they go through regular tests.
Cable cars are used to reach heights and is a common mode of transport I have used them several time in India and abroad and have found them to be safe. Accidents do happen and over that we have no control just as road accidents which presumably are more frequent.
