Hey guys, really loving this website. Since we all love traveling, can we use this particular thread to just give out general advice when it comes to people traveling (anywhere, not just India), so it could be easier for first timers to get some info about going to foreign places? For starters:

    1. Make sure to keep your passport, wallet, IDs, and other essential information at your person at all times, do not leave it in your hotel room.

    2. Beware of pickpockets, and they usually target "rich" looking people, so don't wear anything too fancy when traveling to avoid sticking out like a sore thumb.

    3. Bring mosquito repellents and make sure you get proper vaccination before heading to the country you want, make sure to do the research first and learn as much as you can about the local diseases!

    Your turn!

If you can, buy a waterproof travel slip for your passport. This is a great addition to traveling. It keeps your passport clean and safe. You can store other important documents in there as well. No worry about rain, water or sweat. Also, take a handkerchief or bandanna. This is a great and functional accessory that is easy to carry. It is enough to tie things together, clean your hands, cover your face, and a hundred other things.

    Also, travel trips for women!

Remember, not the entire world is like the country you orginate from. Not every country views women equal to men. It's always best not to try to install your views of equality on locals, just move on. Don't argue about it with local men if they treat differently or ask to speak with your husband instead of you, or talk to you like a child. It has happened to me quite a few times. It's best just to go about your way. Honestly, you're not going to change their minds... just go about your day.
