We are a group of friends coming from different parts of India to Andaman Nicobar Islands. Our meeting point is going to be in Port Blair and are considering Hotel Silver Spring.

We would spend one day there, and as we would be paying for the hotel we want the rooms to be good and out views to be good too.

The first question I have is, do any of the hotel rooms face the sea or have a good view, is yes which rooms are these?

Is there a pick-up service from the airport?

Would you suggest eating at the hotel restaurant or outside?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, none of their rooms have a sea view. But they do face the city which offers a great city scenery. Room types are:
    • Standard Room with AC at Rs. 2,800 per night.
    • Deluxe Room at Rs. 3,500 per night.
    • Super Deluxe Room at Rs. 4,500 per night.
    Amenities in all rooms include:
    • Internet
    • Satellite Television
    • Attached Bathroom
    • Telephone
    • Safety Deposit Vault
    • Hot/Cold Running Water
Yes, there is a pickup service from the airport. You'd have to request for it as it comes with a charge. There's also an airport drop-off, with a charge as well.

They do have a restaurant in the hotel named "Aroma" which offers multi-cuisines. Their menu changes as well according to the season. You can opt to eat here as they have quite a variety of dishes to choose form. Otherwise, you can also eat outside the hotel as they are very near the city centre. Here's a few restaurants near the Hotel Silver Spring:
    • Light House Residency. This is just near the Aberdeen Bazaar in MG Road. Their specialties are mainly seafood dishes.
    • Icy Spicy. You can find this in the Junglighat Road near Island Arcade. If you're a bit tired of seafood dishes, then Icy Spicy is for you. They have North Indian and South Indian cuisines. Dishes like Masala Dosa and Panak Paneer are their specialties.
    • Annapurna. You can also find this in the MG Road. They specialise in North Indian and South Indian cuisines as well. Try out their Sada Dosa.
    • Paradise Cafe. Also located in MG Road, this is a great cafe for snacks and even breakfasts.
    I hope this helps!
