Trekking Destination Near Delhi

I will be in Delhi for a few days and was looking for a place where we can do some trekking. Is there a place that is close to Delhi where trekking facilities are available? We will be a group of four and all of us have trekked before.
 
There are trekking spots in the Aravali hills near Delhi but if you are a serious trekker you would need to head for the Himalayas. But if you are short of time you can try the ones near Delhi.
 
There are a number of places you can visit for trekking near Delhi, which are mainly in Himachal Pradesh or Uttarakhand.

  • Dodital Trek in Uttarkashi/Sangamchatti near Haridwar and Rishikesh
  • Dayara Bugyal Trek in Uttarkashi/Barsu near Haridwar and Rishikesh
  • Chopta Chandrashila Trek in Chopta near Haridwar and Rishikesh
  • Kedar Kantha Trek in Sankri village near Dehradun

Treks in Himachal Pradesh

  • Triund Trek in Mcleodganj
  • Hampta Circle Trek in Jagatsukh village near Manali
  • Beas Kund Trek in Solang Nala near Manali
