I'd love to take a 2 or 3 day river rafting adventure when I visit India. I saw some pictures of river rafting in Rishikesh. Has anyone ever done this before? Do you happen to know if there are certain months of the year they offer these trips?
I'm not sure if I would invest in a motorcycle. I think that renting a bike for a few days would be fine. Plus I plan on visiting more than one destination. I don't want to ride the motorcycle to my other destinations.
I think this price is normal for a lot of countries now. I know when I visited China a few years back I paid $75 for my visa. The price has gone up in the last few years. I'm not sure how much it costs today.
I'd be more worried about jelly fish than I would worry about eels. If your just swimming around or going snorkeling you shouldn't have an issue. Now on the other hand if you want to do some scuba diving then you might need to keep your eyes open for a few eels lurking in what looks like small...
This beach looks like a must visit on a trip to India. However, here on the site I just saw yet another beach. The photo was taken at Manjeshwar Beach in Kerala. I love the hammock hanging from the trees. The small grass hut sitting on the beach looked like a perfect way to enjoy the sunrise or...
I spent a few years working in Mexico. Rice and kidney beans is a food you'll see on the table daily. In many home they mix the rice and beans together and serve this for breakfast. Many food that is left over after the evening meals ends up on the table in the morning. There are some families...
Hi everyone,
I was just looking through some of the wonderful images on India. One of them caught my eye. It said why not spend the night in a free house. The small one room tree houses look very inviting. It seems they are made from local wood and the design is so unique.
How many places...
That's a very interesting article. I had no idea that India made a wine. I have never seen a bottle in our local markets to buy. This might be very interesting to look into when I visit India. I love winery tours and this could be a lot of fun taste testing some Indian wine.
I did a lot of research on the Moringa teas and drinks. I know in many parts of India they cook with Moringa and also use this in teas and another drink they make. I have enjoyed Moringa Tea hot and cold. You can add honey or sugar to this drink. I would suggest trying to see if they sell this...
I for one am not a lover of goat meat. I tried it once and didn't care for it at all. I have eaten lamb prepared different ways and each time I find it delicious. I will never try or eat goat meat again. I also don't like goat milk.
I know in some countries the locals love to cook different types of food such as bread and pizza in a wood burning oven. I understand India has some wonderful bread to try. I'm wondering if people cook this bread in a wood burning oven or on top of hot rocks. I find pizza cooked in a wood...
This sounds very interesting. I have visited a few islands during my travels. I have seen the natives wrap food in banana leaves to put in their underground ovens. I have never heard of banana leaf rice before. Do they cook the rice in a banana leaf? This sounds very interesting and also delicious.
I like the suggestions of the others but she might feel left out. She loves you and wants to travel with you. However, she is not adventurous and this makes your time less enjoyable. I would tell her that you don't have a problem as long as she will do the things you want. Tell her what you want...
