I am taking my daughter and son on an adventure trip to Kodaikanal, where we will be doing cycling, hiking, and boating.
After a day of activities, it's important to have a good place to relax which is why I need to know what options I have for 5-star hotels in Kodaikanal and what their location is.

My budget is Rs4000 per night for the hotel.

    Overview

Kodaikanal is a hill station in the Dindigul district of the state of Tamil Nadu. Its main attraction is the Kodaikanal Lake, a manmade lake in the shape of a star that attracts many tourists because of its serene beauty and boating facilities. There are many more places to cover in Kodaikanal, view points, churches and temples, that can keep you busy for a few days. The hill station is also replete with many hotels and resorts options, ranging from budget ones to luxury ones. There are a few five-star hotels in the hill station too, but their rates are higher than your preferred budget. So if you can spare more for your budget per night, you can have a luxurious staying experience whilst in Kodaikanal.

    Best Five-Star Hotels in Kodaikanal

    1. The Carlton - The Carlton is the first and oldest five-star property in Kodaikanal. The Carlton also claims to be the only five-star hotel proper in the hill station. Its location is just off the Lake Road, overlooking the Kodaikanal Lake from many angles in the property. It is spread across 3.8 acres of lush lawns with the main property set amidst a colonial-style building slash bungalow. The facade is of yellow and peach but there are also stone accents in some exterior areas. The reception is dated in interiors, with the hardwood flooring and stone wall panels. The regal furnitures and overhanging chandelier add to the charm of this section. For the accommodations, you have a variety of options, namely: Deluxe Room, Deluxe Cottage and Premier Suite. All types of accommodation feature their own private balcony overlooking either the lush gardens or the lake. If on a budget, the Deluxe Room is a good option, it is spacious and comes with a complete set of amenities despite the more affordable price. Interiors for all accommodations are mainly old-fashioned, with the use of hardwood and colonial-era style of furnitures. Silver Oak is the main dining option in the property. It has the same old-fashioned interiors with chandeliers and wooden panels. Cuisines served here are Indian, Continental, Chinese, Italian and Mexican. The Hearth is the lounge slash cafe of the property, replete with traditional furnishings and even its own fireplace to boast of. For adults, the End of The Road offers a variety of cocktails and wines that goes well with soft music played here. Other facilities in the property are a gym, spa, indoor games centre, outdoor games centre, library, parking, conference hall, banquet hall and travel desk. The grounds of the hotel have various sitting areas as well as hammocks so you can enjoy the view of the lake at your own leisure. The property also has its own boating facilities for the lake so you won't need to venture outside for that. Internet is available all throughout the hotel without any surcharges but signal isn't assured.
