I will be in Ooty for a few days and someone who prefers to stay at a very simple and quiet location. Many hotels which I have looked at are booked for the particular days required, and the one which is available is Charing Cross hotel. It seems like an ideal hotel especially when I don't have much choice!. The one thing appealing is the location which is quiet, and it is only 15 minutes away from the airport. As I have three days at the hotel, I would like to know what the hotel is like, so I can be a bit prepared for the kind of stay I will have. Any good places to eat near the hotel, as I am not someone who likes eating at the hotel restaurants?
I would recommend you try the Nahar Sidewalk Cafe, or the Dhaba Express. Both have good food and a great atmosphere. I can't help too much on the hotel, but thee reviews of it online are pretty good for that tier of hotel. Best of luck!
