My sister had made some train bookings for our family for a trip next month. She didn't take any printout of the tickets and we need them now.

How can we print tickets from the PNR number?

In order to take out a printout of your e-ticket from your PNR number follow the steps below.

    • You would need to visit the IRCTC website and login.
    • You should see a print ticket option, click on this.
    • Enter in your PNR number and click on search.
    • Select your PNR number.
    • Click on print E-Ticket. There will be two options to print in English or Hindi, choose the suitable one.
    • Your ticket will be displayed and now you need to print this out.

Printing train tickets from the PNR number is a straightforward process. You can follow these steps to obtain a printout of your train tickets using the PNR number:

    1. Visit the Official Railway Website: Go to the official website of the Indian Railways (https://www.irctc.co.in) or the website of the respective railway zone where the tickets were booked.

    2. Login or Register: If you have an IRCTC account, log in with your credentials. If not, you may need to register for an account.

    3. Access Your Bookings: Once you're logged in, navigate to the "Booked Ticket History" or "PNR Enquiry" section on the website. You'll typically find this option in your account dashboard.

    4. Enter PNR Number: Enter the PNR number for your booked tickets. The PNR number is a unique 10-digit code provided at the time of booking.

    5. Retrieve Your Booking: Click on the "Retrieve" or "Get Booking" button. The system will fetch your booking details based on the PNR number.

    6. Select Tickets: You will see a list of all the passengers and their ticket details associated with the PNR number. Select the tickets you wish to print.

    7. Print E-Ticket: Once you've selected the tickets, look for the "Print E-Ticket" or "Print Ticket" option. Click on it.

    8. Print Your Ticket: A PDF version of your e-ticket will be generated. You can then save or print this PDF. Make sure you have access to a printer to get a hard copy of the ticket.

    9. Carry the Printed Tickets: After printing the tickets, carry the hard copies with you during your journey. Indian Railways often requires passengers to show physical copies of tickets along with valid identification.
Please note that you may also receive a copy of the e-ticket on the email address used for the booking. You can access your e-tickets from your email as well, making it convenient to have both digital and printed copies.

If you encounter any difficulties or if the PNR retrieval process is different on the specific railway zone's website, you can also visit the nearest railway station or reservation counter for assistance in printing your tickets.
