My family is from Delhi and we are planning a trip to Shirdi in the next coming weeks to go to Sai Baba Mandir.

Our preferred mode of transport is by train as it is convenient and cheap, so we would like to know how to reach Shirdi from Delhi by train?

That's a wonderful plan! Traveling by train is a great way to experience the Indian countryside and connect with fellow travelers. Here's how you and your family can reach Shirdi from Delhi by train:

Several trains are running from Delhi to Shirdi. Here are some options:
    • Special Trains: These trains are currently the most common way to get from Delhi to Shirdi. They are typically faster than regular express trains and run on specific days of the week. You can find the latest information and schedules on the Indian Railways website IRCTC.
    • Here are some examples of Special Trains:
      • Train Number: 06528 NDLS SBC SF SPL - This train departs from New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) and reaches Kopargaon Station (KPG) near Shirdi.
      • Regular Trains: Several regular express trains also ply between Delhi and stations near Shirdi. You can find them on the IRCTC website or other booking platforms. These trains may take longer than special trains but can be a more budget-friendly option.
Here are some additional tips for booking your train tickets:
    • Book your tickets in advance, especially during peak season.
    • Consider the travel time and choose a train that fits your schedule.
    • There are different classes of train travel available, from AC coaches (air-conditioned) to sleeper class. Choose the class that best suits your comfort and budget.
    • If you are traveling with senior citizens or young children, consider booking lower berths for easier access.
I hope this information helps you plan your trip to Shirdi! Have a wonderful and spiritual experience at Sai Baba Mandir.
