One day Hyderabad tourism packages

I am going to Hyderabad for a few days for some training, and before I come back home, I will spend one whole day free, which I would like to spend visiting some of the famous places of Hyderabad.

I would like to know if there are any one day Hyderabad tourism packages which I can get, which would include the majority of the tourist places and things to do. I would also like to know what the average cost of the packages is as well.

Just a stroll around Hyderabad's Old City can take you back to the era of the Nizams. One-Day Hyderabad Tourism Packages

Fortunately, there are many tour operators offering one-day tour packages for Hyderabad. Most of the tour packages are operated by private companies, but there is also a tour package operated by the Telangana Tourism. Rates usually differ, depending if you book an air-conditioned or non air-conditioned bus. Some companies also offer private tours via private vehicle.

1. Hyderabad City Heritage Cum Museum Tour by Telangana Tourism - This is the tour package offered by the Telangana Tourism, the Hyderabad City Heritage Cum Museum Tour. The tour begins at around 7:30 am and the pickup point is just across the Birla Mandir. Other attractions covered in the tour package are the Chowmahalla Palace, Charminar (Drive Through), Mecca Masjid (Drive Through), Laad Bazaar, Salar Jung Museum, Nizam Jubilee Pavilion, Qutub Shahi Tombs and Lumbini Gardens. The tour ends at around 7:30 pm of the same day of course. If you're doing the tour on a Friday, since the museums are closed, you would be taken to the Nehru Zoo Park instead. Keep in mind that all rates posted below are exclusive of entrance fees and meals. You can opt to bring your own meals and beverages or dine in the nearby restaurants. • Tour Timing - 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM

• Places Covered - Chowmahalla Palace, Charminar (Drive Through), Mecca Masjid (Drive Through), Laad Bazaar, Salar Jung Museum, Nizam Jubilee Pavilion, Qutub Shahi Tombs, Lumbini Gardens and Nehru Zoo Park (In Place of Museums on Fridays)

2. Hyderabad City Tour by Konaseema Tourism - Konaseema Tourism also has a tour package for Hyderabad sightseeing. The good thing about this tour company is that they have pick-up and drop-off services, although it's non air-conditioned, at many points around Hyderabad. Their tour though begins from the Birla Mandir as well, at around 7:00 am. If you're coming from another point in the city, you can check out their website for the pick-up points near you. After being dropped off at the Birla Mandir, you would then be transferred to another bus, either air-conditioned or non air-conditioned, for the tour proper. Other attractions covered in the tour are the Nizam Museum, Chowmahalla Palace, Salar Jung Museum, Charminar (Drive Through), Mecca Masjid (Drive Through), Sudha Car Museum, Golconda Fort, NTR Gardens, Lumbini Park (Drive Through) and Hussain Sagar (Drive Through). The Nizam Museum, Chowmahalla Palace and Salar Jung Museum are closed on Fridays so you would be visiting the Nehru Zoo Park if you do the tour during this day. Included in the tour is a tour guide, who can speak English, Telugu and Hindi. Seats are not reserved though, so do come early if you want to be able to pick your seats.

• Places Covered - Nizam Museum, Chowmahalla Palace, Salar Jung Museum, Charminar (Drive Through), Mecca Masjid (Drive Through), Sudha Car Museum, Golconda Fort, NTR Gardens, Lumbini Park (Drive Through), Hussain Sagar (Drive Through) and Nehru Zoo Park (Friday)

3. Hyderabad City Tour by Southern Travels - Southern Travels is tour company operating in cities in and out of India, including Hyderabad. Their Hyderabad City Tour is a daily tour package offered to tourists. It begins at around 9:00 am, starting at the Birla Mandir in Hyderabad. Other attractions covered in the tour are Ravindra Bharathi (Drive Through), Qutub Shahi Tombs (Drive Through), Golconda Fort, Salar Jung Museum, Charminar, Nehru Zoo Park and NTR Gardens. The tour would end at around 5:30 pm so you can enjoy exploring Hyderabad on your own for a few hours after. You can reserve a slot for the tour through the website of Southern Travels. You need to bring proper photo identification for every member of the tour as well. Rates are different, depending if you book a seat in a non air-conditioned bus or an air-conditioned bus.

4. One-Day Hyderabad City Tour by Holidays DNA - If you would like a more private tour, you can opt for the tour package offered by Holidays DNA. You can be picked up from your hotel at around 9:00 am. By 10:30 am, the tour begins as you reach the Qutub Shahi Tombs. Thereafter, other attractions included in the tour are Golconda Fort, Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace, Salar Jung Museum and Lumbini Park at Hussain Sagar. You can opt to skip any of these places but you are not allowed to include any other places or attractions not mentioned above. All meals, tour guide fees, entry fees and extras are not included in the fee. In a way, you're merely hiring the vehicle on a fixed route around Hyderabad. All tourists would be dropped off at Nampally, after being picked up at their designated points. From Nampally, the tourists would be transferred to either a non air-conditioned or air-conditioned bus and the tour begins. The tour includes a guide from the travel agency, Royal Travels. Places covered within the itinerary are the Birla Mandir, Nizam Museum, Salar Jung Museum, Charminar (Drive Through), Chowmahalla Palace, Nehru Zoo Park, Sudha Cars Museum, Golconda Fort, NTR Gardens, IMAX Theatre, Lumbini Park (Drive Through) and Hussain Sagar (Drive Through). After the tour, you would be dropped off at the same point you were picked up in, at around 7:00 pm.

The tour is semi-private since smaller vehicles are used and the rates are per person, instead of renting out the whole vehicle. The tour covers some of the main attractions of the city like the Birla Temple, Golconda Fort, Salar Jung Museum, Charminar, Mecca Masjid, NTR Gardens, Nehru Zoo Park and Lumbini Park with Hussain Sagar. The tour is very brief, ending at around 5:00 pm. You can reserve a slot via their website. All entrance fees and meals are excluded in the rates given below.
