I am going to be staying near Calangute beach and Baga beach in North Goa. Our location was chosen because of mainly the beaches.

Other than spending time at our resort and on the beach we would also like to visit places in Goa and would like some recommendations on the places to visit in North Goa.

We have an interest in many different things so we are open to all kinds of recommendations for places to visit.

    Hi DaisyIbby,

Here are the places you can visit in North Goa:

Dudhsagar Falls - This is around 2 and half hours away from Calangute Beach, this is quite a distance from the beach but a beautiful place to be at with fabulous views.

Basilica of Bom Jesus - A popular church in North Goa, which many people visit for its beautiful architecture. This is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Mangueshi Temple - This is a 450-year-old temple and is one of the largest temples in Goa.

Chapora Fort - A fort located in Bardez.

Fort Aguada - This fort also has a light house and both have been there since the 17th century.

Goa State Museum - A must visit place the Goa State Museum to get an insight of the history of Goa.

Backwaters of Chapora River - You travel on a houseboat and see another side of Goa.
