Private Hotels at Vaishno Devi Bhawan

I would like to know if there are any private hotels at the Vaishno Devi Bhawan, as the accommodation which is provided by the shrine board is all fully booked. I should have made the booking well in advance, but it slipped my mind that the school holidays have started and that it would be fully booked. The only option left now is for private accommodation.
Please advise about the private hotels at Vaishno Devi Bhawan and the costs.

Unfortunately, there are no private hotels near the Vaishno Devi Bhawan. All accommodations are provided for by the Shrine. In case you're talking about the free accommodations provided by the hotel being fully booked, you can still opt for the rented accommodation. There are lots of places for accommodations, namely:

• Jammu near railway station
• Katra near bus stand
• Adhkuwari
• Bhawan

Here are the rates of the rooms/beds:

Jammu

Vaishnavi Dam

• Double bedded with AC: Rs 1,100
• Suite with AC: Rs 1,500
• Per Bed Dorm: Rs 100

Saraswati Dam

• Per bed Dorm: Rs 100

Katra

Niharika

• Double bedded with AC: Rs 1,300
• Double bedded non-AC: Rs 850

Shakti Bhawan

• Per bed dorm: Rs 100

Adhkuwari

Sharda Bhawan

• Double bedded: Rs 700
• Per bed dorm: Rs 120

Bhawan

Main Bhawan Complex

• Double bedded: Rs 900

You have to book online as well to make sure that you have a room once you get there.
