As I plan to visit Nepal soon (not sure when) I need to find out what the currency of Nepal is?

Are Indian rupees accepted there as well?

For every Indian Rupee one gets 1.60 Nepalese Rupees. Indians feel quite comfortable shopping there. We cannot say that when we visit the USA. The current rate is Rs. 63.68 = one dollar.
Do not forget to buy Rudraksha seeds which have a great significance specially the five faced one.

Its a good thing that Indian currency is accepted there, but what would be the exchange rate they give, good or bad. I know it differs from place to place, like if we pay with card its different than getting it exchanged at an exchange currency place etc.
