Best beach resorts in Goa

I want to stay at a beach resort in Goa and thinking that Christmas would be a perfect time to visit. I am quite confused about which beach resorts are good and even the location and need some suggestions in knowing which are the best beach resorts in Goa.

I am yet to decide on the budget, but obviously, I don't want something too expensive reaching prices like Rs10000 per night.

1. Acron Waterfront Beach Resort - This resort is located on the banks of the Baga River. From the Baga Beach, it is just 1.7 kilometres away which you can easily walk in about 20 minutes. Calangute Beach is also just about 3 kilometres away from the resort. They have three rooms that you can choose from: Sea View Room, River View Room and Courtyard Room. All rooms are fitted with complete amenities and are luxuriously designed. Their restaurant overlooks the river and serves Goan cuisine. They also have a jacuzzi and an infinity pool. The hotel also has boats for hire for the adventurous guests who'd like to cruise along the river.

1. NV Beach Resort - This resort is just a few steps away from the Calangute Beach. On the other hand, Baga Beach is about 2.4 kilometres away and if you don't want to walk that distance, the resort does offer shuttle transfers for guests. They have very economical rates that even the budget traveller can afford. The resort also has a beachside restaurant and bar. However, it doesn't have an outdoor swimming pool nor a fitness centre.

• Tariff - Standard Non-AC Room at Rs. 1,000 per night and Deluxe AC Room at Rs. 1,800 per night. These rates are only for mid-season and off-peak season.

Goa is abundant with beautiful resorts and hotels, so you’re certainly spoiled for choice there. The beaches are out of this world too! I’d suggest checking out Mobor Beach, which was just an earshot from the hotel we stayed at, Karma Haathi Mahal, Cavelossim. This place was incredible; with all the five-star luxuries you could possibly need. Other hotels like Maria Rosa resort and Holiday Inn are supposed to be good also
