My friends and I want to go to the beach but are stuck to which beach we should choose and which beach resort we should opt for.

Beach resorts are as important as choosing the beach, but I suppose if the resort is excellent the beach would be good too.

There are many beaches in India, and to be honest for us who have never been to the beach before we don't have a clue to which beach resort or beach we should choose.

If there is a variety of different beach resorts which you recommend, please mention them all, we would decide the final one after looking at the actual beach resorts and location.

A mid range to high range beach resort is required.

Hello and welcome to the forum, @Dimpy!

There's lots of resorts in India that are already destinations in themselves. What I mean is, these resorts are so exquisite and extravagant, that you might visit them just for the sake of experiencing them. Even staying in these resorts can be quite enjoyable and exciting already, without the beaches or attractions nearby. So here's a list of some of the must-visit resorts in India:

    1. Wildwoods Spa and Resort in Karnataka. This is a mere 45-minute drive from the Maravanthe Beach. Consider staying in the resort's Luxury Villa with Pool View which is about Rs. 20,000 per night. The room is complete with modern amenities and Western bathroom. Other beaches are also very near the resort: Udupi, Someshwara and Gokarna. The resort also has its own swimming pool and restaurant. Kayaking, fishing and cycling are some of the activities you can do here.

    2. The Barefoot Resort at Havelock. Dubbed as the only beach side and jungle resort in India, experience luxury and adventure in The Barefoot Resort at Havelock in Andaman, Nicobar Island. Their Andaman Villa has been constructed with eco-friendly materials. It has its own balcony where you can enjoy the jungle view while sipping tea or eating your meal. Its bathroom is very luxurious with a glass window for seeing the jungle as well. Rate varies per season but it's average is between Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 19,000 per night. Diving, Snorkelling and Nature Walks are just some of the activities the resort offers. The Radhanagar Beach is also a few minutes away from your Villa. Enjoy its clean, blue water and fine, white sand.

    3. Vivanta by Taj - Fort Aguada in Goa. The only luxury resort in Goa, the Fort Aguada Resort is luxury at its finest. Their Deluxe Delight - Sea View Room with Sit Out is very elegant and preferred by many guests. You can enjoy reading a book in the balcony while the sea is just within your view. WiFi is also available in your room so you can easily upload your pictures in your social media account. This room is at Rs. 11,500 per night. They also have business, fitness and leisure centre. You can also opt for a private dining under the stars, bay view breakfast or go deep sea fishing. It is also very near the famous Sinquerim Beach, one of the less crowded beaches in Goa.

    4. Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay in Tamil Nadu. A resort that prides itself with complying by eco-friendly guidelines to preserve the environment around which it is built. Eco-friendly vehicles, grey water system and other various measures had been undertaken by the hotel to ensure guests that they are protecting the environment in Tamil Nadu. You can opt for different rooms but the Pool View Room is perfect especially for families. For Rs. 6,000 per night, you can enjoy this room. They also have a restaurant, a spa and a fitness centre. You could also reach the beach a few minutes away from your room and even see the temple from the resort.

    5. The Gold Beach Resort in Daman. This resort is set in about 2 acres of land in the Devka Beach in Daman. You could see the Arabian Sea from the resort itself. Their Deluxe Room is in discount right now from Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 5,600. Isn't that a great deal? This room is very modern with its own master console, you can control the curtains or the lights from your bed. You can also make use of their amenities like swimming pool, gym and game zone.

    I hope this helps!
