Delhi to Kullu by Train

I do not have my vehicle and the only mode of transport for my family, and I is public transportation. We all wish to go Kullu for this years holiday and was thinking of going by train, but there are some confusions whether there is a train station at Kullu or not.

Please advise if there is a Kullu train station?

If not then how can I reach Kullu traveling by train from Delhi?

Unfortunately, there is no Kullu train station. However, there are some stations near Kullu, namely:

• Jogindernagar which is 125 kms from Kullu.
• Pathankot which is 285kms from Kullu.
• Simla which is 270 kms from Kullu.
• Chandigarh which is 267 kms from Kullu.
• Shimla which is 96 kms from Kullu.

As you can see, Shimla is the closest station to Kullu. However, I suggest taking the Chandigarh station since it has direct buses to Kullu from there. The distance from Delhi to Chandigarh is 260 kms which is about 4 to 5 hours. Then the same goes from Chandigarh to Kullu, it can take about 5 hours or more.
