I am going to Nasik with my parents and from there we would also be visiting the Sai Baba Mandir in Shirdi. My sister lives in Pune and we would like to pay her a surprise visit and would like to know what the distance between Shirdi and Pune is so that we can book the appropriate mode of transport.

These are the buses operated by the MSRTC running from Shirdi to Pune. There are two types of buses, the semi luxury one and the ordinary express one. The semi luxury bus fare is at Rs. 292 or Rs. 301, depending on the timing of the bus. The ordinary express bus fare is at Rs. 214, Rs. 221 and Rs. 234, depending on the timing of the bus too. Journey duration is about 6 hours and 45 minutes with this train so a bit on the longer side.

5. By Indian Railways Train (Puntamba Junction to Pune Junction) - There is another option for train journey, that is from Puntamba Junction Railway Station to Pune Junction Railway Station. Puntamba Junction Railway Station is the closest railway station to Shirdi, after the Sainagar Shirdi Railway Station. It is about 17 kilometres away from Shirdi proper so you can just ride a taxi to reach the station, and from there, ride a train to Pune.
