I do not know the law of gambling in India, but I want to know if legal casinos exist in Delhi. I would like to make use of a casino when I travel to Delhi. Also can non-residents gamble in casinos?
There are no casinos in Delhi as the law does not allow gambling. The only place where there are legal casinos is Goa and some North Eastern state I am not sure which one, rest of India there are no casinos.
Even at Goa don't expect casinos like they have at Blackpool in UK or Las Vegas in USA. Casinos are a very new business here and has a long way to go.
Very interesting. As someone that lived in Vegas I wonder if there is still a chance to get in on the casino industry in India. It's probably for the best that they don't have casinos everywhere. Here in the US you can pretty much find a casino within an hour of anywhere you are at.
Gambling is strictly illegal in Delhi and so the idea of casinos here is unheard of. There are some shady clubs that have something resembling but I wouldn't recommend them. Overall, Delhi is just not big on gambling.
With gambling being illegal, I'd imagine the closest you'd get to a casino in Delhi, would be something like the old secret gambling dens that they had in London and various other cities back in the 1960's. While you might not get caught by the authorities, its certainly not somewhere that I'd recommend looking for, and I'd forget about gambling in India and just save it till you got back home. I'm sure you can find plenty of other things you can do, and other things to spend your money on anyway.
