I have seen advertisements for Funtasia Water Park in Patna, and I am interested in going there. In the advertisement, there is no information about the entry fee or anything about the park and its rides. I have joined India Travel Forum to get some information about the park and especially to find out what the Funtasia Water Park Patna entry fees are. Thanking you.
Hello, @Prana, welcome to the forum! What is Funtasia in Patna? Funtasia is the very first water park of the state of Bihar. It was established by the Takshila Seas & Resorts Private Limited, a Mumbai-based non-government company. It was just opened in 2012 but has been a favourite destination amongst the locals already. Since its inception, there's no need to venture out of the city just to reach the cool-inducing water parks of other states. While this is a small water park, it does have fun and thrilling wet rides that can be enjoyed by both the young and old. With the heat in the plains, it's always a good idea to go to a water park, where you can enjoy the cooling effect of the water and at the same time, have that dose of adventure. Where is Funtasia Located in Patna? Funtasia, also known as the Funtasia Island, is located about 10 kilometres to the south of the city centre of Patna. It is specifically located at Sampatchak Parsa Road in Sampatchak. It is just under three kilometres away from the Bishop Scott Boys’ School, the nearest landmark to it. If you're taking your own vehicle, you can take the Jaganpura Road, connected to the National Highway 22. From there, you can easily reach the Sampatchak Parsa Road where Funtasia is located. For those coming outside of the city via train, the Patna Junction Railway Station is around 11 kilometres away from the water park. The nearest bus stop is the Kurthaul Bus Stop, around six kilometres away from Funtasia. What is the Overall Vibe of Funtasia in Patna? Funtasia is spread across five acres of lands, set amidst a quieter area of Patna. In fact, if you can climb one of the higher slides, you can enjoy the scenic paddy fields views around the water park. The water park managed to incorporate spaces in between attractions, to provide for some respite from the crowds for tired guests. Flanked by colourful and high slides, the swimming pools look stunning and very luring. There are ample greenery surrounding the water park, though not as thick as to provide shades for the guests. The sitting areas are also not shaded and very simple, just some plastic and wooden ones around. The overall vibe of Funtasia is purely natural which provides as a good base for a relaxing getaway away from the overbearing chaos of the city life. What are the Attractions in Funtasia in Patna? There are three main pools in Funtasia, which are the following: Wave Pool, Adults Pool and Kids Pool. Feel the thrill of the artificial waves in the Wave Pool, which is very huge, perhaps it can accommodate the most number of guests out of all the pools in the water park. There is an Adults Pool, a deeper pool suitable only for adults or those who can swim well. This pool is surrounded by sun loungers and parasols so you can also laze under the sun after frolicking in the water. The Kids Pool has very shallow waters, not even knee deep, that has fun canopies, sprinkling waters, see-saws and more that the little ones are sure to enjoy. There's a very colourful Kids Water Slides section. With various tube and open slides, kids can have a grand time here but with a little more thrill. The assortment of fun animal friend statues would keep their eyes glued to the central play area as well. Last is the Water Slides section, the main star of Funtasia. There are two high thrill attractions here, the Vertical Slide and the Wavy Slide, located side-by-side. The former is a straight and narrow open slide while the latter is a bumpy and narrow open slide. There's also Spiral Tube Slide and Spiral Open Slide that one can try out here. The Multi-Lane Slide is four side-by-side open slides with a few bumps that you can traverse with to without a mat. What are the Facilities in Funtasia in Patna? There are some food stalls within various areas of the water park selling snacks and full meals. Keep in mind that outside food is not allowed within the park premises. Lockers are also available for rent, they are located within the pool area, in an open setting. There are ample changing rooms and bathrooms for the use of guests, separate for males and females. There are many sitting areas, amidst the food stalls and also in random areas that guests can use for free. For swimming costume rentals, there's a counter for that as well, but it's always best to bring your own costume. You can also rent towels from the same counter. Outside the water park, near the entrance, is the parking area which is set amidst the paddy fields. It is not that developed but is suitable enough for a short stay. For special events, you can enjoy watching them at the makeshift stage that the water park has. What are the Entry Fees for Funtasia in Patna? If you are a no frills, no fancy type of person, the Funtasia Island in Patna would be a good water park choice for you. It is also a good introduction for just beginners to water parks, like small children. It has a nice set of pools and slides, not as daunting as the water rides in huge or popular water parks of India. Rates are on the affordable side and if you have children below three feet with you, they can enter the park for free as well. Its location is accessible but the roads leading to the water park are a bit bumpy. Aside from that hiccup, you can have a blast here, just forgetting about the heat that has ravaged the city even just for a while. I hope this helps you!
