What are the hospitals or clinics like in India. If you have an emergency or get sick, are the hospitals easy to visit or are they usually packed with sick people? Does India have walk-in clinics that international visitors can go to?

As is the case with any organised set up one needs to fix appointments before visiting clinics/hospices or big hospitals Big hospitals will have the trauma or emergency wards and critical patients are routed through these wards. Where there is no admission required then they need to register with the OutPatient Department from where they are directed to the concerned Department/doctor.
Needless to say hospitals and Clinic/hospicess in India are crowded.
At the Clinics/Hospices there will be a receptionist who will monitor the waiting patients.
