If I am visiting India, and want to take a trip to Bhutan, will I need to get another visa? Are there any other rules or anything special I need to know?
Last week, I was on my flight home from Hongkong. The Cathay Pacific magazine has an article about Bhutan. I have been meaning to do a research on how to go to Bhutan because one friend said that it is very difficult to get a visa. That magazine article confirmed that issue of visa. The Bhutan government is limiting the entry of tourists in order to preserve their environment. But you can avail of a tour package that costs more than $20,000 for a couple. The amount includes accommodation and guided tour but excludes plane tickets. I don't think I could afford that tour but I'm still interested if a Bhutanese would invite me.
