A long time due trip to Kullu Manali is finally going to come true for us. Before finalizing the travel and accommodation arrangements, we would like to know what are the best places to visit in Kullu valley. We are interested in visiting everything that are worth paying a visit. The initial plan is for a 5-days trip, but we are willing to extend it further if there are many interesting places to visit. Kindly provide us with a list of must visit tourist attractions in and around Kullu Manali.

As far as Kullu Manali tourism is in concern, the first thing that comes to mind is the Great Himalayan National Park. It is not only an amazing place for the wildlife enthusiasts, but also equally popular among the trekkers. The GHNP consists of four different regions - Tirthan Valley, Sainj Valley, Jiwanal Valley and Parvati Valley - and each of them are gem of a place to visit. There are several popular trekking trails. Neuli to Sainj Valley trek, or a trek from Shamshi to Pin Parvati Pass deserve special mention.

If you are interested in snow, then the Snow Park near Rohtang Pass is a place that you must include in your itinerary. Take a ride on a sledge, I am sure you will like it. Head to the beautiful Solang Valley if skiing and paragliding interests you.

Are you a fan of white water rafting? If yes, then Pirdi offers you a breathtaking experience of rafting on the Beas river. If you are in need of some adrenaline rush, then do include Pirdi in your Kullu itinerary.

Another interesting place to see in Kullu is Manikaran - a small town famous for its hot water springs with natural curative properties. Situated on the banks of Parvati River, it is an excellent camping site as well. There is another hot water spring in Vashisth village close to Manali. The place is popular with casual tourists and pilgrims. There is an ancient stone temple in the village dedicated to Sage Vashistha which is worth paying a visit as well.

Hidimba Devi Temple is another famous tourist place in Kullu. Established in 1553, the temple is situated amidst lush greenery of dense deodar forest. Here you can get yourself photographed dressed in the traditional Himachal attire - which is a huge hit among the tourists.

Vaishno Devi Temple is a famous religious place located off the Kullu-Manali highway. The place is extremely scenic, with the Beas river meandering its way through the lush green vista. Certainly, a must visit spot in Kullu, if you are a nature lover.

Basheshwar Mahadev Temple ranks high among the religious places of interest in Kullu. The ancient temple was constructed in the 9th century and it is famous for its exquisite stone carvings.

Dhakpo Shedrupling Monastery is a great place to experience some Tibetan Buddhist craftsmanship. Perched on top of a hill, the place offers splendid views of Kullu Valley.

A trip to Chandrakhani Pass can help you catch some magnificent views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks.

Finally, a guided tour to Kheer Ganga is another must do activity in Kullu if you are a trekking enthusiasts.

There are a lot more places to see in Kullu, but the above-mentioned ones are the most famous and belong to the 'must visit' category.
