Our family would like to go Ranthambore for the safari, we have chosen the accommodation but can not book it until we know what the Ranthambore national park safari charges are. If they go too much over our budget, we would not be able to go yet. We have not been on a safari before so have no idea about the charges, hence which why we are hesitant. Please provide all information about the safari costs.
Hi there, welcome to the forum! The Ranthambore National Park, located in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, offers different types of wildlife safaris for guests. It's best to book a ticket online for the safari well in advance so you won't need to queue when you reach the national park. When it comes to the fees, there are other charges that would be incurred if you book for a safari. This includes the entrance fee, the safari proper fee, private vehicle fee and camera fee. In this little guide, I'm going to give you a brief overview of these incurred charges so you can prepare enough money for your trip. Entrance Fees for Ranthambore National Park CategoryIndian NationalIndian StudentForeigner (Non Indian)Entrance FeeRs. 40Rs. 18Rs. 350Eco-Development FeeRs. 60Rs. 12Rs. 450Total FeeRs. 100Rs. 30Rs. 800So as you can see, there are separate charges for the entrance and as well as the eco-development of the national park. For an Indian national, the total entrance fee is at Rs. 100 while it's at Rs. 30 for an Indian student. A foreigner needs to pay Rs. 800 for the entrance fee. Comparing these entrance fees to the Sariska National Park and Keoladeo National Park, they are slightly higher perhaps because of the larger size of Ranthambore and the maintenance needed here. For an Indian national, the gypsy safari costs Rs. 129 per passenger while for a foreigner, it costs Rs. 869 per passenger. If ever you are bringing your own vehicle, there are different charges for it as well. Vehicle Charges for Ranthambore National Park CategoryBusJeep/Canter/CarGypsyTwo WheelerEntrance FeeRs. 150Rs. 75Rs. 200Rs. 15Eco-Development FeeRs. 450Rs. 300Rs. 600Rs. 35Total FeeRs. 600Rs. 375Rs. 800Rs. 50This table above shows the charges if you decide to bring your own vehicle inside the national park. As you can see, there are also entrance fees and eco-development fees incurred for bringing your own vehicle. While these vehicles are allowed inside the national park, you cannot go beyond the Ranthambore Fort so you really cannot explore much of the area even if you pay for your car. These charges are the same, whether you're an Indian national or a foreigner. Camera Fees For Ranthambore National Park CategoryIndian NationalForeigner (Non Indian)Entrance FeeRs. 300Rs. 450Eco-Development FeeRs. 300Rs. 450Total FeeRs. 600Rs. 900If you're bringing a camera other than a still camera, then there are also charges for that. For Indian nationals, for one piece of camera, you'd have to pay Rs. 600 while for foreigners, for one piece of camera, you'd have to pay Rs. 900. So there you go, depending on which safari you choose, you have to add into that the entrance charge plus camera charge. Some examples are: Indian National - Entrance fee at Rs. 100 + Canter safari fee at Rs. 244 + Camera fee at Rs. 600 = Total of Rs. 944 Foreigner - Entrance fee at Rs. 800 + Canter safari fee at Rs. 984 + Camera fee at Rs. 900 = Total of Rs. 2,684 I hope this helps you.
