I am interested in finding out the things to do in Nepal and why people go there, as my wife wants to go there and someone I think it would be a waste of time and money.

I have always seen Nepal as a boring place to visit where there is not much to do, but have studies that Nepal does get a fair amount of tourists.

I may change my mind about the holiday once I fid out what things to do in Nepal and how it is as a holiday destination

Nepal is in my bucket list but I am a cultural traveler, meaning my trip usually has a cultural flavor. In Nepal, my itinerary would be the foot of the Himalayas, yeah, just the entrance to the highest peak but no climbing for me. One thing that amuses me is the yak which supplies meat and milk. However, I have asked a Nepali about the yak and he didn't know that the milk is edible. I would also like to meet a real sherpa, the famous mountain guide of Nepal. It would be great to have a conversation with him.

Nepal has been blessed with natural settings with the Himalayas towering above everything else. There are flights available to get a closer look of the Himalayas.

It is a laid back country. It is a paradise for trekkers.
Nepal is a hub for Casinos. No one gets back without having a gambling experience even though one has never visited a casino before.
Most tourists get fascinated with the temples there, the one that stands out is the Pashupatinath temple.
A three day stay should be enough to get the flavour of Nepal.
