Believe it or not, I have lived in Delhi for the past 10 years and know very little about the some places, maybe because I live far from such places. Near enough everyone knows that Chandni Chowk is very famous for its eateries, but there are a certain number of them which are famous. In the coming week, I am planning to take a few friends who are from Bangalore to visit Chandni Chowk and they especially want to go and explore the place and eat at the famous joints, so I need the help of the members.
Please provide a list of the famous places to eat in Chandni Chowk and what food item they are famous for.
A quick response would be appreciated.

Hi Kapil, here is your information on the famous places to eat in Chandni Chowk. Remember to go on a light stomach or empty stomach ;)

    Natraj Dahi Bhalle
Famous for dhai bhalle this shop has been around for 80 years.

    Old Famous Jalebi Wala
As the name suggests the place sells jalebi. You can either have it with or without rabri, but with rabri is recommended. Old Jalebi Wala has been around since 1884.

If you want to try some non veg then Karims is the place to be at. Karims was established in 1913 and some of their best dishes include mutton burra, seekh kebab, shammi kebab and mutton tikka. Main course dishes to try are mutton stew, chicken Noor Jehan and Chicken Jahangiri. When it comes to desserts the kheer is a must have to top it all off.

There is a famous dish of Old Delhi which is called Daulat Ki Chaat, its a sweet dish made from churning milk for hours until it becomes frothy, and when you put it in your mouth it just melts. You would find many people selling Daulat Ki Chaat in Chandni Chowk but the best ones are to be found in Sitaram Bazaar, Paranthe Wali Galli, and Dariba Kalan Market.

If you want to try it not expect to find it in the summers, as it is only sold during the winters.

I remember when I was small I went to Chandni Chowk we had the very famous Giani Kulfi Falooda. It is something to simply die for, but I strongly suggest that you go on an empty stomach as it is quite heavy, but worth having!
