I have 3 months time out and want to visit India in next 2-3 months, could someone suggest me top places to visit and must do things for first timers. Complete itinerary would not be required as I do not want to stick to any pre decided tour and would love to customize it on real time basis.
It would help if you mentioned what interests you the most and the weather you like. India is a huge country and at any time of the year you can find freezing cold temperatures to bright sunny and warm climate within the country depending upon what part you are in. You also have a choice of going to the Himalayas or the North eastern states if you like the hills. You can venture into south India if you like history and old temples that have been around for hundreds of years. Please let us know what you like and I would be able to suggest a few destinations.
