A group of us friends from Delhi are planning to spend a few days at Neemrana Fort. This is our first outing slightly away from Delhi, and we require help with reaching Neemrana Fort.

Please advise on how to reach Neemrana Fort from Delhi, and what is the best mode of transport. We also have the option to take our vehicle.

Is there any place to visit just near Neemrana Fort and not too far out?

Apart from just relaxing at Neemrana, is there anything else which can be done?

Neemrana is just 100KM from Delhi on Delhi-Jaipur highway. Public transport is not really an option because fort entrance is a few kilometers off the highway to the right side. Neemrana is not a good choice in Summers.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Neemrana Fort is about 122 kms away from Delhi, so it can take you two hours or more to reach the former.

The best option would be taking your car. There are buses from Delhi going to Jaipur. These buses can drop you off at Behror. Unfortunately, no buses can directly stop at Neemrana Fort. Behror itself is a few kms away from Neermana, about 16 kms to be exact. You'd have to take a taxi from there to Neemrana. So if you can take your car, that's the best option you can do.

You can visit the ancient Neemrana Stepwell or Rani Ki Baoli. It is Rajasthan's largest inverted stepwell. You will be amazed by the marvellous architecture of the stepwell. Climb down the 11 floors of the well and reach its bottom.

You can also visit the Siliserh Lake about 86 kms away from the city. It can be a great picnic spot or you can just bask in the beauty of the lake.

Then, there's also the Sariska National Park, which is about 120 kms from the city. You can spot the Bengal Tiger in here.

There's lots of things you can do at the Neemrana Fort Palace. Here they are:

    • There's a yoga and a meditation centre. You can relax more with proper yoga techniques and meditation techniques.
    • The spa offers some Ayurvedic massage and therapies.
    • There's a swimming pool which you can use.
    • Stroll the gardens by riding a camel.
    • Try out zip lining to see the city from above.
    • Have a vintage car ride for a fee.
I hope this helps and enjoy your trip!
