My cousins who live in Canada have been telling me about the Sanjeev Kapoor restruarant and how great the food is there. I wanted to know is there any Sanjeev Kapoor restuarant in Delhi as well, if yes where as I would like to go there with the family.

    Overview

Sanjeev Kapoor is one of the most influential persons when it comes to the culinary industry in India and also in Asia. More than just being an expert chef though, he is also a celebrated entrepreneur and television personality. His culinary expertise is well-known all over the country and the world. He has established his brand as well, known as the SK Brand, which has extensions to both restaurants and even kitchenwares. The SK Brand has the SK Restaurants, a line of seven restaurants spread out all over India and the world. These restaurants are namely: The Yellow Chilli, Hong Kong, Sura Vie, Signature by SK, Khazana, Grain of Salt and India Green.

    Sanjeev Kapoor Restaurants in Delhi

There are mainly two restaurants under the SK Restaurants brand in Delhi. These are the Sura Vie and The Yellow Chilli. The former has two branches while the latter has six branches in the capital city. Both the restaurants though are casual dining ones, perfect for a simple day out or night out, either with your loved ones or friends. Of course, the signature style of cooking of the master, Sanjeev Kapoor, is also present in many dishes. Both also has North Indian cuisine, but the former has additional Italian, Chinese and Thai cuisines. Below, we would highlight some important information about the two restaurants and where they are located exactly in Delhi.

    1. Sura Vie - Sura Vie, as mentioned above, has two branches in Delhi. Both has this elegant and classy interiors but the one in Punjabi Bagh has more lavish designs. Chandeliers, dim lights and exquisite marble flooring add to the high end vibe of the branch. The restaurant offers a myriad of North Indian, Italian, Chinese and Thai cuisines. They also have an extensive bar menu plus a separate delivery menu. With a variety of dimsums, soups, kebabs, pizzas, curries and many more, you are spoiled for choices when visiting any of these branches. Their specialty is the Dum Gosht Biryani, very aromatic and spiced just right, enough to tickle your taste buds. On the other hand, the Netaji Subhash Place branch has more toned down surroundings but the classiness is still there. Their menu isn't that extensive but it has some options for the same cuisines mentioned above. Their version of the Dal Makhani is called the Lalla Mussa Dal, which is undeniably one of the starts of their menu. It is creamy yet not too overpowering and can be sufficient in itself as a meal. As a casual dining restaurant though, Sura Vie has higher end prices and you need to spend a bit more to enjoy your dining experience here. However, the quality of food, the hospitality and the trademark of Sanjeev Kapoor, make it a worthwhile money spent.

    2. The Yellow Chilli - The Yellow Chilli is the first ever restaurant of the culinary master. It has since then branched out into several cities in the country, including Delhi. In Delhi alone, the restaurant has six branches but the one in Sector 18 in Noida is the top-rated one. This branch features North Indian and Mughlai cuisines. The branch has a very simple white theme, but is spacious enough to accommodate many guests. While it's hard to choose just one dish that stands out here, a cult favourite is their Tandoori Chicken, soft and very flavourful. The Yellow Chilli in Raj Nagar is also a good choice. The restaurant has this homely atmosphere to it and even the food tastes like an authentic fare from North India. Their Vegetable Biryani is worth trying out, it can rival the biryanis in Hyderabad any time of the day. Then there's the branch in Pacific Mall, although the menu here is not that extensive. Their Lemon Grass Chicken Tikka has this kick of citrus due to the lemon grass but it actually compliments the dish more. The branch in Sector 63 in Noida has the same interiors, simple white along with wooden chairs. Their Paneer Taka Tak has this mixture of tanginess and spiciness, well-balanced enough for you to enjoy the dish. For the last two branches, they have the same menu as the above restaurants but somehow, they cannot keep up with the legacy of the brand. If you have to choose, then just opt for the four mentioned restaurants above instead of the last two, which are in V3S Mall and Wazirabad.
